Mike has an active solicitor's practice which includes Corporate, Commercial, Real Estate, Wills and Estates. Mike conducts numerous seminars on estate planning and real estate issues throughout Nanaimo.
Mike is active in the community with the Lantzville Rotary Club and the Vancouver Island University Foundation. Mike's hobbies include badminton, squash, tennis, and bridge, and he is an internationally certificated badminton umpire. Mike has umpired many major tournaments throughout Canada and the world, including 2 Olympic Games.
Mike graduated from Nanaimo District Senior Secondary School in 1977 and Malaspina College (now Vancouver Island University) in 1979 before obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UBC in 1982. After working for nine years with the Canadian Forces to the rank of Captain, Mike went back to university and obtained his law degree in 1995. He has practiced law in Nanaimo ever since.
